SISC recognizes that there are students whose gifts are in areas outside of logical
intelligences. These students may be gifted in leadership, interpersonal relations,
and verbal fluency but cannot easily cope in the more logical sciences being
taught in the mainstream classes.

1. ExCEL (Extended Classes for Enduring Learning)

This is an after-class remediation program conducted once a week for students.
This aims to ensure that students understand the math concepts and operations
discussed in class.

2. SCI Program (Science Coaching and Intervention)

This is a regular after class program designed to assist students who have
difficulty understanding concepts in Science.

3. Reading and Writing Clinic

The Reading and Writing Clinics are after-school programs of the English
Department to address the difficulties of the learners in reading and writing. The
Reading Clinic focuses on the target reading skills based on the child’s
performance in class and results of the Standard-Based Assessment. The Writing
Clinic focuses on the required skills that the child needs to develop from pre-
writing to publishing.

D. Tutorials

SISC recognizes the importance of extending tutorials and learning assistance to
all students.

Follow-up

All subjects are tackled when helping a student do his/her assignments. Tutorials
are done after class hours.
