PART VI. GENERAL GUIDELINES
A. FORMS OF COMMUNICATION
1. Student Diary (PS to Grade 2)/Learning Log (for Grades 3-10)
The diary or learning log is the daily link between the school and the home. A
student should bring his diary or learning log to school every day. He is also
expected to write down the topic(s) covered in the different classes, assignments,
and daily reflections in the diary/learning log. Parents or guardians are expected
to sign their children’s diaries or learning logs daily.
During online learning, an e-diary will be used by the students.
2. Students and Parents’ Bulletin (S.P.B.)
The school’s written communication to parents is done through the Students and
Parents’ Bulletins. Reply slips should be returned to the teacher within three days
after the bulletin is issued.
3. Parent Involvement Form (P.I.F.)
At the beginning of the academic year, the PIF which contains the lessons or
themes to be taken up during the academic year is given to all students and their
parents through MOODLE.
4. Parent-Teacher Conference (P.T.C.)
At the end of every term, parents meet the teachers of their children to:
a. claim the report cards;
b. discuss the progress of their child and other school related concerns; and
c. make an agreement as to how the teachers and the parents can best address
the needs of the child.
