CIVILIAN DRESS CODE
On occasions when the students are allowed to wear civilian clothes (MUFTI
Days), they should demonstrate respect for themselves and for the school
through their manner of dressing and appearance. Fancy and informal attire
(such as very short shorts, singlet, mini skirt/ micro-mini skirts, tattered pants,
tank tops, bare midriffs, halter tops, tube tops, and see-through clothes) are
inappropriate in school, statement shirts with obscene/ suggestive words/
slogans/ pictures printed on worn outfits are strictly not allowed. Students are
enjoined to come in school in attires and accessories that are not distracting.
Violation of this policy will be dealt with accordingly.
GROOMING AND HYGIENE
It is part of good grooming to keep oneself presentable, to be appropriately
dressed for school and to project simplicity by not wearing adornments that
can distract learning.
Teachers should heighten the student’s awareness about his/ her appearance
as befitting a member of Southville International School and Colleges (SISC).
What one wears reflects the kind of person one is.
a. Students may wear bangs but should not be long as to cover their eyes and
hence, get distracted from learning.
b. Girls/Ladies should comb their hair neatly.
c. Boys/Gents are not allowed to wear earrings, chokers & anklets.
d. Girls/Ladies are neither allowed to wear more than one pair of earrings nor to
wear big/dangling hoops.
e. Students should bring extra P.E. shirt for playtime to avoid soaking their
uniform with perspiration.
