YOUR BENEFITS GUIDE 2022
Benefit Basics
Eligibility
As a Clarins USA, Inc. (Clarins) employee, you are eligible for benefits if you work as a full-time
employee with at least 30 hours per week. Benefits are effective on the first day of employment, with
the exception of Short and Long Term Disability (STD & LTD) and 401(K) plans.
You may enroll your eligible dependents for coverage once you are
eligible. Clarins requires dependent proof (marriage license, birth
certificate, affidavit). Your eligible dependents include:
• Your legal spouse
• Your domestic partner
• Your children up to age 26
Qualified Life Events
Generally, you may only change your benefit elections during the annual open enrollment period or in
your new hire enrollment window. However, you can change your elections during the year if you
experience a qualified life event. You are responsible for reporting any life status changes within 30
days of the event such as:
• Marriage
Proof of qualified life event is required
• Divorce or legal separation when making mid-year changes.
• Birth or adoption of your child
• Change in employment status of spouse/domestic partner or dependent child
• Entitlement to Medicare or Medicaid
Enrollment Information
During open enrollment, you have the opportunity to review your benefit coverage elections and to
continue or change those elections depending on your personal needs.
If you are interested in enrolling, changing plans, or adding/removing dependents (and you are not a
new hire or have not experienced a qualified life event), you must make those changes during the
annual open enrollment period.
Changes and enrollments are required to be made through the Employee Self Service tool. Once
benefit elections are made, they remain in effect until the end of the year.
Please keep in mind:
• Per IRS regulation, you must actively re-elect your Flexible Spending Account (FSA) dollars each
year
• If you add dependent(s), proof is required
