           Innovation is the driving force behind progress, and organizations that embrace change and forward-
           thinking strategies consistently achieve excellence. Over the past year, the QC BPLD has spearheaded
           several groundbreaking initiatives to strengthen its compliance with EODB standards, yielding impressive
           results  through  well-structured  activities  and  strategic  reforms.  These  initiatives  have  emerged  as  a
           best-practice model for other local government units striving for efficiency and effectiveness in public
           service delivery.


                 INNOVATE. ADAPT. THRIVE: THE QUEZON CITY
                 FUTURE OF WORK CONFERENCE 2023

                    On November 13–14, 2023, QC BPLD brought together over 500 business leaders from MSMEs
                    to  engage  with  61  industry  experts  and  policymakers  in  Quezon  City’s  Future  of  Work
                    Conference.  This  event  provided  valuable  insights  and  practical  tools  to  local  businesses,
                    equipping them for the evolving business landscape. Topics covered included the integration
                    of AI in the workplace, business continuity planning, and corporate social responsibility. These
                    discussions empowered business owners to embrace innovation and navigate industry shifts
                    effectively.

                    What set this initiative apart was its proactive strategy in future-proofing businesses against
                    industry shifts. Instead of merely reacting to industry trends, QC BPLD positioned Quezon City
                    as  a  thought  leader  by  facilitating  direct  knowledge  exchange  between  experts  and  local
                    entrepreneurs.  By  leveraging  emerging  technologies  and  future-ready  strategies,  this
                    conference exemplified how local governance can drive business resilience and innovation.

                 TRAINING & ORIENTATION ON ANTI-SEXUAL LAW

                    Championing  safer,  more  inclusive  workplaces,  QC  BPLD’s  gender  sensitivity  initiatives
                    empowered over 140 business owners and employees through specialized training sessions.
                    These efforts aimed to foster a culture of respect and awareness, ensuring compliance with
                    legal frameworks and best practices in workplace conduct.

                    Unlike  traditional  compliance-driven  approaches,  this  initiative  emphasized  cultural
                    transformation  within  businesses.  By  integrating  gender  sensitivity  and  anti-sexual
                    harassment  training  as  key  components  of  business  development,  QC  BPLD  positioned
                    inclusivity  as  a  competitive  advantage  rather  than  just  a  regulatory  requirement.  This
                    forward-thinking strategy helps create sustainable, progressive business environments.
