2.4. Additional Database Options

There are some additional options for how IAM handles databases. These are found in
’Home’ > ‘Options’ > ‘Database’.

• When ‘Automatically open last database’ is checked, IAM will remember the last
database that was opened when it was shut down and open it on starting up again.

• When ‘Automatically expand database contents’ is checked, IAM will expand the
database tree to show all of the assets when the database is opened. Refer to
Section 3.2 for details about the database tree.
• The ‘Number of recent databases to display’ option determines the number of
recently opened databases that IAM remembers. The recent databases can be
opened from ‘Home’ > ‘Database’.

• The ‘Number of recent places to display’ option determines the number of recently
browsed directories that IAM remembers. The recent places can be opened from
‘Home’ > ‘Database’.
• Having ‘Always ask for the archive save folder’ unchecked disables browsing to a
target location when compressing a database.
• Having ‘Automatically open the first database in archive’ unchecked will stop IAM
from automatically opening a de-compressed database.
