Introduction

1.1. System Requirements

• 1 GHz 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
• 2 GB of system memory

• 1 GB of free hard disk space for the software
• CD-ROM drive

• Internet Explorer 8 or later

• Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8 or later
Additional Iris Power LP support software may be required depending on the continuous
monitors that are used with IAM; software is provided as-needed when purchasing a
continuous monitor:
• PDView (required for viewing partial discharge data)

• RotorFluxPro (required for viewing flux data)

1.2. Installation

To install the software, insert the disk into a DVD-ROM drive. Depending on your system
settings, the DVD may start automatically; if it doesn’t use Windows Explorer to browse to
the disk and run the setup.exe file; follow the on-screen instructions.
If PDView and/or RotorFluxPro were provided with IAM, install those as well.

Note:
Iris Power LP software must be installed with a user account that has
administrative access rights on the compute.

1.3. Compatibility

IAM is not compatible with all types of Iris Power LP instrumentation; it directly supports:
• BusTracII

• HydroTracII
• EVTracII

• SMTracII
• All GuardII monitors
IAM can work with databases that contain data from other devices, but it cannot
communicate with those devices.
