5.11.3. AC Power Synchronization

NOTE:
AC power is only appropriate for use as a synchronization signal when the
asset is synchronized to the GuardII+ ac power frequency.

Instead of using a separate source for the synchronization signal, the GuardII+ ac power
source can be used as a synchronization source. This is done by selecting “AC Power” as an
AC Synchronization Source when configuring the monitor in IAM; no additional physical
connection is required.

5.12. Ethernet Connection
The Ethernet allows for a permanently installed remote connection to the GuardII+. The
monitor can then be accessed through the IAM software.

5.12.1. RJ-45 Connection
The default cable type used for the Ethernet is CAT5 (or better) cable terminated in an
RJ-45 connector. The connector is located near the top right-hand side of the electronics
assembly.
