The Voltage Selector switch changes the fusing in the monitor; make sure that the switch
is set correctly.
• When set for 115 Vac, the line is fused

• When set for 230 Vac, the line and neutral are both fused

5.10. Sensor Connections
Sensor connections will vary depending on the installed technologies. Refer to the
appropriate monitoring technology User Manuals for details.

5.11. External AC Synchronization

Some monitoring technologies require an ac synchronization signal to function, and in
some cases, it may be necessary to use an external source.
NOTE:
When using an external source for ac synchronization, some additional
configuration will be required in the IAM software for a monitoring

technology to properly use it.

5.11.1. External AC Synchronization Input
The External AC Synchronization input connects to the AC Termination Board near the
electronics’ ac power input. This is an electrically isolated differential input rated for 20 Vac
to 250 Vac.

Note that the External AC Synchronization input has a ground isolator like the AC Power
input. The External AC Synchronization ground isolator should be left in the ‘isolated’ (factory
default) position (refer to Section 5.8.2 for details on the ground isolators).
