5.9. Power Connections

GuardII+ requires a power source quality like that needed for control and protection
devices and should include a circuit breaker. The nominal input voltage is either 115 Vac or
230 Vac and an internal switch is used for selecting the fusing for the ac power.

WARNING:
The main ac circuit breaker providing power to the GuardII+ should be
turned off when accessing the GuardII+ AC Termination Board.

Supply wiring should be 0.82 mm (#18 AWG) stranded (16x30) or larger
tinned copper conductor with PVC insulation. The cable should be rated
105 °C, 600 V or equivalent according to local country electrical codes.

The ac power connections are made at the AC Termination Board on the electronics
assembly.
