GuardII+ SM Card Operation
• The peak value for the GV input occurs at 2:30 am.
• The peak value for the G1 input occurs at 3:30 am.
• The peak value for the G2 input occurs at 3:30 am.
• The peak value for the TV input occurs at 1:00 pm.
The Archive for this day will contain the following measurements:
• The measurement collected at 2:30 am (the measurement with the peak GV value).
• The measurement collected at 3:00 am (the measurement after the first peak of the
day).
• The measurement collected at 3:30 am (the measurement with the peak G1 and G2
values).
• The measurement collected at 1:00 pm (the measurement with the peak TV value).
4.5. Modbus Outputs
SM Measurement data is hosted inside the monitor for an external Modbus master to read.
To access the data registers, connect to the GuardII+ using Ethernet and query the monitor
using the standard Modbus over TCP/IP protocol. This data is updated during every
measurement cycle. Modbus data outputs include:
• Measurement time
• Measurement status per input
• Peak-to-peak and RMS numbers per input
Refer to Section 8.2 for details of the SM Modbus register addresses.
4.6. GuardII+ Alerts
Alerts in a GuardII+ SM system are based on the Alert thresholds configured in IAM; when
the measurement results exceed one or more of the Alert thresholds, the Alert is asserted.
NOTE:
There are two configurations that need to be completed using IAM for the
Alert feature to function fully:
• First, there is a general Alert Relay behavior that must be set to a
selection other than ‘Disabled’; if the Alert Relay behavior is not
configured, then the Alert Relay will not function, although Archived
measurements and Modbus data will still report an Alert when it
occurs.
• Second, the Alert thresholds must be set.
Refer to Section 6.3 for details on GuardII+ configuration.
