• Keep the work surface clear of unneeded

• Take out any materials that have nothing to
do with your ongoing task.
• Label file folders with descriptive labels,
then store documents inside of them when
not in use.
• Arrange supplies and equipment for easy
access & making unnecessary movement.
• Place frequently used materials in a caddy
on the surface of your workspace, such as
paper clips and pencils.
• Reserve top side drawer to store stationery
Drawers supplies / lay file contain current work.
• Reserve the center drawer for frequently
supplies (letters, scissors, paper clip).
• Reserve additional file drawer/side drawer
to store files that referred to often but no in
current use.
• The nature of your job will determine
Reference Materials which references you will use most
often.
• A dictionary, phone directories, corporate
and office reference manuals, safety
handbooks, and equipment and software
instructions are a few examples of
reference materials that ought to be at your
desk.
