• If this occurs twice or three times a day,
the time lost can quickly mount up.
• A person, sound, or occurrence that
Frequent Interruption prevents you from finishing your work is
called an interruption.
• There are numerous reasons why your job
may be interrupted. For example, phone
calls, unannounced visits or inquiries from
clients or colleagues, and delays in getting
materials or work from other people.
• But keep in mind that most occupations
include significant customer and colleague
interaction.
• It is not a waste of time to answer inquiries
about your work from clients and co-
workers.
• Maintaining positive working relationships
Excessive Socializing with your co-workers will require some
socializing.
• Socializing too much is a waste of
company time.
• One easy way to counter a co-worker's
attempt to drag you into idle chatter is to
say something like, "I really need to get
back to work." Perhaps we should talk
about this over lunch.
• Your teammate will quickly discover that
you are not easily side tracked from your
work if you respond consistently.
• As an office worker, you will receive and
giving information in both written and oral
form from customers and co-workers.
