65. The 66 session of the Board of the UNJSPF was held in Nairobi, Kenya, from 22 to
26 July 2019. AAFI-AFICS was represented in the FAFICS delegation by
Mohammed Sebti.

66. The Pension Board later submitted the report on its 66 session in a different
format, which is available on our web site, to the 74 session of the UN General
th
Assembly, which examined it together with number of other pertinent documents to
reach Resolution A/RES/74/263, adopted on 27 December 2019 (see Annex VII).
67. The implementation of the recommendations and decisions of the General
Assembly contained in this resolution will be examined by all the bodies concerned
(Pension Board, the secretariat of the Pension Fund, the Pension Committees of
the organizations members of the Fund, the Bureau and member associations of

FAFICS). Their reply will be submitted to the 49 session FAFICS (Geneva,
Switzerland, 13-16 July 2020) and the 67h session of the Pension Board (Geneva,
16-24 July 2020).
68. Mrs Rosemarie McClean has been appointed as Administrator of the Fund and
Administrator of ACAP for five years from January 2020, thus bringing an end to
several years of uncertainty concerning the Fund.
69. Despite the efforts made by AAFI-AFICS, please note the abolition of the two
senior posts in Geneva. Alan Blythe has been appointed as interim secretary
of the Pension Board, and Aliamane Bacar-Said has joined the staff of the
Fund in New York. Mrs Maria-Clarisse O’Donnell is now the supervisor of the
Geneva office.
D. FOR 2020, WE INTEND
70. To continue to be active in all sectors where we obtained results in 2019, in
particular within FAFICS. Its 49th Council will be held in Geneva from Friday, 10
July (a meeting of its two working groups on pensions and on ASHI) and from 13 to
16 July for the Council itself
71. To continue to pursue the aims not achieved in 2019, notably:
72. We have not been able to induce sufficient new members to join the Committee and
participate fully in its activities.
73. At the client-service level, some are grouped together (see our note of 20
December 2018); UNSMIS (S-033 and S-035), Pension Fund (S-060) and GPAFI
(S-058). However, for the time being AAFI-AFICS remains in Office E-2078.
74. We have not had sufficient time to create new groups or coffee mornings, although
the reports on loneliness are very worrying. We were, however, able to organize two
lunches where members had the occasion to meet. We have not yet convinced all
