vi. Develop and maintain relations with bodies outside the
Association that may be active in areas of interest to our
                            members

            43. At the local level (Cantons of Geneva and Vaud, and in neighbouring France) there
are many activities outside the sphere of the international organizations. Integration
in local life is the guarantee of a successful retirement.

            44. In Geneva we have close links with the Cité Seniors, located on the corner of the
rue de Lausanne and rue Amat (http://www.ville-geneve.ch/themes/social/cite-
seniors) where we meet for a Carrefour International once a month, Wednesday
afternoon from 14h00 to 16h00. The programme is available in the AAFI-AFICS
office. The Cité Seniors is open to everyone. On Tuesday evening, many of our
members, including Sylvie Jacques, take part in the POLAROID project (an
intergenerational forum for conversations in different languages; an exchange of
                 competence without language teachers).

            45. Also at the Geneva level, AFICS is still a member of the Plateforme des
associations d’ainés de Genève (http://www.plateformeaines.ch) and can thus
receive and distribute useful information on a range of associations and social
services designed for older people, including contacts in the health sector.

            46. In the Department of Ain there are close relations with the CLIC (Centre local
d’information et de coordination gérontologique) managed by the CC
(Communauté des communes) of the Pays de Gex (http://www.cc-pays-de-gex.fr/le-
clic-a-votre-service.html). We welcome the efficiency of the Centre and publish
information on their many activities. Some 400 members of AFICS live in the Pays
de Gex and the CLIC provides assistance to retirees and their families in all
confidentiality in taking decisions and guiding them to the competent service. The
CLIC coordinates professional aid at home, in an establishment, volunteers and
elected officials; it is a local branch in the prevention of the risk of suicide in older
                 persons.

vii. Concerning ageing, AFICS has continued to:

            47. Participate in the meetings and other activities of the NGO Committee on Ageing >
                 Geneva  (Internet:  https://ageingcommitteegeneva.org;  Twitter:  @NgoAgeing;
                 Facebook: https://facebook.com/ageinggeneva).

            48. Participate in reflection on the role of the FAFICS Focal Point on Ageing, a task that
was confided to AAFI-AFICS at the FAFICS Council session of 2017. More
information is now available on our site.

            49. Participate and take part in the 2018 ILO Seminar “Stay Younger”, organized
together with organized jointly by the associations of the ILO, WHO, the ITU Amical
and AAFI-AFICS. Due to illness of the rapporteur, it is not possible to issue a final
