57. Both the Secretary and the Treasurer live in the Geneva region. They are therefore
able to work together closely with the logistical assistance of AFICS.

ix. Cooperation with associations of active staff

            58. AAFI-AFICS continues to seek a closer relationship with the associations of serving
staff of WIPO, the UNHCR and UNOG which do not have a retiree association. In
the other organizations, AFICS deems it is indispensable to maintain good relations
through the sister retiree associations that participate fully in the AAFI-AFICS
                 Committee.

                        x. Assistance to retirees in administrative transactions with
                            the UN Staff Pension Fund

            59. The Pension Fund now has a permanence in Office S-060 once a week (Tuesday
from 9 h to 12 h), which allow retirees and future retirees to obtain all information
necessary to make decisions concerning their pensions. We hope that it will again
be possible to open the permanence twice a week. A wealth of information and
documentation (change of address or bank account) is available on the Fund’s
website (https://www.unjspf.org). Since the installation of the new IT system (IPAS),
the site is more user-friendly, although it is still regrettable that much of the
information is available only in English. It is now possible to register with the MMS
to find out, for example, if the Certificate of Entitlement (CE) has been received.

            60. AFICS continues to receive from the Pension Fund a list of those who have not
returned their CE and risk a suspension of the payment of their pension, which will
result in a prolonged wait before payment can be re-established. Locating these
retirees and explaining the importance of signing and returning this document (see
specimen in Annex VIII) to the Pension Fund is a lengthy task. This list, which is
also distributed to our sister associations, who have made an important contribution,
has resulted in identifying a number of retirees who were no longer able to respond.
Concerning these certificates (CE), the site of the Pension Fund states that with the
introduction of IPAS, an entirely integrated system that can deal with a wide range
of procedures, the Fund has decided to alter the manner of distribution.

            61. At the time of drawing up this report, the site of the Pension Fund contains the
                 following:

            62. The organigramme of the Fund (https://www.unjspf.org/about-the-fund/leadership-
                 of-the-fund.

            63. The report of the 2019 session of the Pension Board; https://www.unjspf.org/the-
                 2019-pension-board-report-is-now-available, in English.

            64. The new information brochures.
