                                                   IN BRIEF

We are preparing our general assembly. It goes without saying that in recent years
the participation has been rather low, but here we are applying the statutes. If we didn't
have this meeting we would be the first to cry foul. Follow the news on our website
            (https://afics.unog.ch/AAFI-AFICS_News_E.htm). and participate!

Reception hours of the Pension Fund:

On 16 December the Fund informed us of the opening hours of its Customer Service
Department in the H-building of the Palais des Nations, i.e. Tuesdays and Thursdays
            from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

For former UN and UNHCR staff members, access is with the retiree badge. For other
organisations, you must obtain a "visitor's" badge at the Peace Portal (avoid Monday
            ....).

Unfortunately, pensioners have no access by car. Parking spaces are scarce with the
            various renovation projects.

Application of the cost of living increase in April:

It will be based on the official figures for December 2022 published in the Monthly
Statistical Bulletin. Last year, the Fund also made a second increase in October for 15
countries where the cost of living had risen by more than 10% between December and
            July.

100th anniversary of ILO health insurance

It was only natural that this organisation, which deals with workers' rights around the
world, should be the forerunner in this field among international organisations. It should
be remembered that the various insurance companies of the organisations in Geneva
are working together to negotiate agreements with hospitals.
