4. Agreements with medical organisations

Efforts are being made to combat overcharging for services by some practitioners.

               5. Representation of Organisations/Associations in the Executive Committee
The United Nations Mutual Insurance Association also includes specialised agencies as
Members, such as WMO, ITU and UNHCR. It ensures that the voices of all its Member
Associations are heard; for example, the ITU was admitted as an Observer Member to
the Executive Committee. In addition, the Executive Committee elected a representative
of the Association of Former International Civil Servants (AAFI Geneva) as a co-opted
member with voting rights. In this respect, it is necessary to underline the good
disposition of the Executive Secretary and his Assistant in organising regular meetings
with AAFI to discuss in particular the specific problems of pensioners, which deserve
special attention and treatment; on the AAFI side, one of its Members, France Henry, is
to be thanked for the help she regularly gives to the Pensioners. AAFI is looking for
volunteers to help France Henry in her dealings with the Insurance.

                6. AETNA / Life Insurance. Aetna Life Insurance Plan

The beneficiaries of the Aetna Life Insurance benefits must submit their claims to the
Insurance Secretariat upon the death of the insurance subscriber.
               7. Health status of the Mutual

The Mutual Insurance is in excellent financial health and compared to other public or
private health insurance systems, it is doing well, now and in the future, thanks to its
balanced financial management and the reserves it has built up and continues to build
up in order to protect itself against possible risks that could jeopardise its viability, risks
linked to extraordinary expenditure by patients, or pandemics such as Covid recently.
For the time being, there are no plans to increase premiums. The insurance company
will continue to ensure that its members are well covered and that they receive the best
               possible service.

                                                                                Revised by Marithé Horvat
