METALWORKING EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS
RESEARCH OF THE INFLUENCE OF SURFACE
PLASTIC DEFORMATION ON THE ROUGHNESS
of PARTS FROM POWDERS X ALLOYS
Introduction
The rapid development of scientific and technological progress and
the conditions of competition in the world market pose a challenge
for modern production to significantly increase the productivity
and quality of products. Improving the technical and economic
indicators of mechanical engineering products is achieved by
using parts and assemblies made of new powder materials with
high strength characteristics: heat resistance, wear resistance,
and others. Today this is most relevant for factories that
produce submersible pumping units. During operation, most
parts and assemblies of submersible pumps experience high
temperature and power loads from the fluid flow and centrifugal
forces, significant vibration loads, the influence of aggressive
media, etc.
Formulation of the problem
The guide vane of the submersible pump stage is designed to
convert radial flows into axial ones for subsequent stages and create
the pressure required to pump out the liquid. The guide vane is made
of composite powder materials ZhGr1D15 and Kh11N8D20 by pressing
and subsequent heat treatment. In the course of the activity of a separate
subdivision, it was revealed that under the existing conditions of error-
free running time and "harsh" operating conditions lead to intensive wear
of the guide vanes. Additional machining is required to reduce wear surface that provides the
necessary qualities of the surface layer - sufficient hardness, low roughness.
The solution of the problem
One of the leading methods of ensuring a high and stable surface quality, therefore,
increasing the durability and reliability of machine parts, is surface plastic deformation (SPD).
