The Pediatric Oncology Ambulatory
Care Center is located within the
Pediatric Saban Pediatric Medical Center at
Soroka Medical Center.
Oncology Service

It covers an area of 472 square meters
Current Situation (5080 square feet).

At the Pediatric Oncology Ambulatory
Care Center, we provide a wide range
of medical services, including diagnostic
procedures such as bone marrow
examination; medical and oncological
treatments such as chemotherapy,
blood product transfusions, the
administration of other intravenous
medications, and treatments such as
intrathecal chemotherapy (injected
directly into the cerebrospinal fluid)
that are provided under sedation.

While our dedicated and highly trained staff provide
care in line with the most stringent international
medical standards, the ambulatory care facility
is grossly inadequate in terms of providing the
state-of-the-art infrastructure necessary for this
type of care. It is insufficient for today’s needs and
certainly will not be sufficient for tomorrow’s.
The facility includes only two treatment rooms
with a total of three beds and three armchairs,
one room for medical procedures, and no
medical examination rooms.
