Sustainable development is resilient since it does not damage the
fundamental resources on which it is grounded. This facilitates the
renovation of resources already utilized by mankind.
Sustainable development creates operative, reliable infrastructures and
promotes innovative technologies while safeguarding equal access to
economic markets and information. These are the optimal conditions
conducive to building global societies and prosperous countries
worldwide.

\ Interim goals
9.1 Developing quality, reliable, sustainable, and resilient infrastructures,
including regional and transborder infrastructures, focusing on affordable
and equitable access for all.
9.2 Promoting inclusive and sustainable industrialization, and substantially
raising industry’s share of employment and gross domestic product, in keeping
with national circumstances.
