• Worldwide regulation encourages initiatives whose contribution to the
environment is central to reducing the number of livestock bred for the
meat industry, a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions and one
of the more substantial contributors to global warming.
• Companies, environmental organizations, and government ministries the
world over have begun implementing a Life Cycle Assessment methodology
in order to evaluate and weigh up the environmental impact of several
options.
• LCA is the leading model for analyzing the potential environmental impact
in a range of influence categories and life-cycles of products, services,
and processes.
• Recently there has been a rush on raising funding for Food Tech startups,
especially those focusing on animal-free, alternative proteins based on
tissue engineering.
