A Star-Studded Trip You’ll Never Forget
Where are you planning to spend your next vacation? Are you going to take a trip to
the beach? Or visit family perhaps? Do you want to travel somewhere new and different for a
change? If so, try a trip to space! The following companies provide exciting trips that you will
remember for a lifetime.
VIRGIN GALACTIC
You’ll have a fantastic experience, and you’ll come back with great stories to tell. On the
VSS Enterprise, you and five other passengers will fly into space. You won’t orbit Earth, but
2
you will experience zero gravity. How much will this trip cost? About $250,000.
3
SPACE ADVENTURES
You’ll fly 250 miles above Earth, and you’ll orbit it every 90 minutes. It’ll be a spectacular
experience! You will be the only passenger, but you will spend a week on the International
Space Station with trained astronauts. How much money will you need for this trip? Around
$50 million dollars.
No, your trip to space is not going to be a cheap vacation, but it will be a memorable one!
1 orbit: to move in a path around another object in space
2 zero gravity: a condition in which people and things float; happens in space
3 astronaut: a person who travels in outer space
Virgin Galactic’s special
WhiteKnight plane will
carry the VSS Enterprise
to 50,000 feet. Then the
Enterprise (center) will
continue into space alone.
