Good writers use adjectives and adverbs to make their writing more interesting.

Compare:
With their arms and legs and tail, they move through the forests.
With their long arms and legs and powerful tail, they move quickly through
the forests.
Good writers also choose their words carefully and do not use too many
adjectives or adverbs.
Compare:
With their long arms and legs and powerful tail, they move quickly through
the forests.
With their big long arms and strong legs and powerful curled tail, they
move quickly and gracefully through the beautiful thick Peruvian forests.
Make sure to choose your adjectives and adverbs carefully when you write.
This is especially important in academic and business writing.
