Orange Risk: Moderate risk to individuals or across
the family. Risk is present and is
                                 currently managed with protection

Red Risk: High risk to individuals or across the
family. Risk is present and is currently
NOT managed. There is no or limited

                   GREEN CASES
These cases identified by the practitioner as
presenting the lowest level of risk. By definition, there
are no indicators of case complexity (family violence,
drug and alcohol, mental health, suicidality, child
abuse), and this is confirmed through a continuous
                   screening and risk assessment process.

Neither client reports a current or historic fear of the
other party. There is no suggestion of the presence of
power and control. In addition, the physical
separation occurred more than 6 months ago, the
separation was not at the initiation of the female
parent, and the male parent is not emotionally
connected to the relationship (Ellis, 2015).

Implications for ADR and Child Meetings
The parents in Green cases are capable of
separating the loss of the partner relationship from
the continuing role as parents of their children.
They are interested in and use the language of
collaborative parenting. They are reflective and see
that they each contributed to the breakdown of
