decided to maintain some of the differences that celebrate
the quirkiness of our individuality. We are different people
and we have written our thoughts as we know them. We
have worked within an agreed structure and critiqued each
other for accuracy. We therefore feel that what we are
bringing to you is a good representation of the state of
thinking about the child voice.
The book begins with an explanation of theoretical bases.
We then move to the skills that will be the focus of the
Meeting With Children course, we provide a set of
suggested forms for use in the process of Meeting With
Children, and we finish with some of the legal and ethical
challenges associated in bringing the child voice into family
law processes.
Our hope is that in providing the book and the course,
practitioners will ensure that children are empowered to
participate in the design of their post separation family life.
