CHILD AND YOUTH READINESS SCALE

               NOTES

        SUMMARY

Please review the above 9 areas and provide an overall Child and Youth Readiness Score. Identify the areas of
readiness or lack of readiness for indirect to direct inclusion of the child’s voice.

This tool is meant to assist the practitioner who meets with a child to consider the child’s readiness for input to
parents and third parties as a way to guide sensitive inclusion

The score is one indicator of the possible level involvement of the child in the Child Centred Continuum process.
The results should be seen in the light of the Parent Readiness Scale (PRS) and the practitioner’s own practice
               judgement.
