                   ACTIVITY 4. PICTURE OF CHOICE

                                         Best for 12 and adults
                   INSTRUCTIONS
                   Script
                   Using any of the materials here, you can draw a picture of your choice (or
                   for a younger child use different language) of anything you would like.

                   If the person has difficulty getting started, suggest the following:

                   I want you to imagine a positive future place, idea or feeling. Using colors,
                   shapes and/or words create a picture. If you have magazines, allow the youth
                   to rip pictures from the magazine to place on the paper to represent a positive
                   future idea. After the youth draws or choose images to place on the paper, use your
                   enquiry skills to explore the art product.

                   INSTRUCTIONS: More Structured Picture of Choice
                   Script
                   I want you to imagine a positive future place, idea or feeling. Using colors,
                   shapes and/or words create a picture.
                   If the person is stuck… further prompt…
                    Choose three favorite colors and make 5 different shapes …

                   INSTRUCTIONS: Collage
                   For Adolescents you could also use magazine pictures that you have already cut up
                   and available for use or have magazines that the youth could rip pictures from.

                   Script
                   (Youth’s name) I have a bunch of pictures/magazines here and a big piece
                   of paper. I want you to look through the pictures, pick some you like and
                   put them on this paper to make a collage. I want you to think about a
                   positive future idea, something from your imagination.
