Emotional Space
12. The parents agree that Lilly and Kyle may maintain telephone, text messages and
facetime discussion on a flexible basis. They agree that the children may call the
other parent at any time other than meal times or after bedtime (8pm)
Understanding of the Parent Separation
13. The parents agree that they shall invite the children to attend a session with the
family mediator at which time the parents will answer their questions about the
family separation and future living arrangements
Family Relations
14. The parents agree that the children have strong relationships with the
grandparents on each side of the family. They agree that they shall each actively
support the continuation of these relationships
15. The parents agree that they shall continue to provide opportunities for Kyle to
have times to play “toy soldiers” with his grandpa on TOM’s side
16. The parents agree that they shall work together to adjust any living arrangement
to take into account the birthdays and special days of all immediate and extended
family members
Peer Supports
17. The parents agree that all of their children have established friendships within
their schools and the neighborhood of *****. They agree that these friendships
are of importance to their children and further that neither parent seeks to
unnecessarily affect them
18. They therefore agree that each parent will as much as possible support the
children’s attendance at birthday parties and other social events irrespective of
the house at which the children are staying
Community Connections
19. The parents agree that Lilly and Kyle will continue to attend the **** School for
the remainder of the year, and will continue there until at least the close of 20**
20. The parents agree that they shall establish an Education Trust Fund, with The
parents as required signatories. This fund will be for the purpose of paying for
school fees, and associated large school expenses
21. The parents agree that they shall actively support their children by continuing to
attend school and extra curricula events together. During these events, they agree
that they shall refrain from bringing their new partners along, and they shall
maintain a respectful communication with each other
Other
22. The parents agree that neither parent will introduce a new partner in the first 12
months following the separation date
General
23. The parents acknowledge that the agreements reached are not legally binding
however represents a statement of intent
24. The parents agree that the family mediator did not provide advice or otherwise
influence the outcome of the mediation, and advised both to seek independent
legal advice
