Here we are on our last day together! We’ve covered many aspects of
fear, and we’ve seen how fear can be a good thing. It’s been a journey
that I hope you will continue to take.
Today I want to share with you seven main lessons I learned through
my life-changing accident. They are lessons that will serve you well as
you navigate through your own challenges on your way to living the life
of your dreams.
1. Begin to identify yourself—not just your name, gender, your age,
and occupation—but who you are, your likes and dislikes, all the
things that you have discovered about yourself. The more you iden-
tify who you really are, the stronger the relationship you will have
with yourself, and this will allow you to become a more confident
person and increase your self-esteem.
2. Feel yourself in your body. I had to become present moment-by-
moment—not in the past or in the future, but just now. This is
