The priorities for selection are organized to support the curricula within
                                                                                                   Level III Phase 2
the college and the needs of the primary users the undergraduate and
graduate students and faculty. The research requirements of faculty are to be

taken into consideration, especially if they are closely related to the curricula.
Primarily, the library collects materials to support accreditation requirements
and academic recognition of departments as well as materials required to
support the core programs offered by the institution.

Procurement of textbooks is basically purchased specially for the general
education subjects. The professional books for major subjects are the priority
specifically if the books support the courses offered.

Electronic resources mainly considered in response to the covid -19
pandemic. The college library procured online database and electronic books

to support the teaching and learning needs of the students. It is a one- year
subscription with Gale Reference Complete Online Database and electronic
               books from Tri Tech Media.

In most cases, the Library will provide journal subscriptions in one

format only and preference will be given to electronic formats. Electronic
format for periodical subscription is mainly considered compared to print
subscription because it is easily accessed and cheaper than the printed
materials, and aside from that, there is no delayed in the delivery of materials.

Library materials are expensive to purchase process and house. The
library acknowledges the necessity of preserving all library holdings to keep
them in good shape and to ensure the availability. This program shall be
employed for proper care and to prolong the life of books and other library
materials for the use of the members of the academic community. The
preservation and security process of these materials include naming and
labeling of each hard ware and peripherals in order to easily identify and locate

               materials owned by the library.
