P. 6
In Section 2, a detailed mind map and infographic of our team’s
brainstorming is presented. These activities are related to our current
understanding of the as-is situation vs the to-be. Using this system thinking
brainstorming helped us look at the ecosystem as a whole and identify
problems to solve rather than addressing the symptoms
.
If the maturity framework is used as a benchmark, our organisation ranks
low (there is some connectedness between some tools (mail with
MSteams, but separate K drive/HR system/payment system and small
learning and design function with limited resources):
Benedicks, R. (2018).
If we proceed with “event correction/solving” for example, implementing
mentorship in isolation, the gains will be short-lived. We need to aim at the
creation of “... Learning fitness or learning health” which “ is an
organization’s collective ‘abilities’ to perform.”( EdcAst Team. 2019).
Although we do not need to solve all the problem areas at once, our
approach must be underpinned by a framework to lead the transformation
process.
