Mousselline: Quality French Ice Cream
In the Mahane Yehuda Market in Jerusalem there is a shop that sells very
special ice-cream. The woman that makes the ice cream is Orit Vardi. Vardi
once worked in High-Tech, but she didn’t like the stress and
competitiveness in jobs of that kind.
It bothered her that they are very angry at her every time she can’t get to
[arrive at] work and that each pregnancy is a reason to fire her. Orit decided
to be more creative at work, left the High-Tech and moved to creating
dishes and desserts that always made her happy.
She took her baby, that was then one month old to France and there she
learned in the prestigious school for the production of ice cream and sorbets
“le Notre”
In the small shop at Egoz Street in the market, Orit makes the sorbets from
fresh fruit and all the production process is made in a manual and filled
with love technique. In Mousselline there are ice creams in different
interesting flavors: spice cake, saffron ice cream, basil ice cream and more.
