Who would have believed that fashion would come out of the Mahane
Yehuda market? Apart from the cheap clothes shops, the baggy pants
and the Jeans there are designer clothes in the market, this is the trend
for already a couple of years. The quality fashion brings to the market
many tourists from all of the country who come to shop in the
designed boutiques. Fridays have become the ultimate pastime days
and women from Tel-Aviv come to the holy city in order to buy and
wear designer clothes “made in Jerusalem”. Except for elite fashion,
in the Mahane Yehuda market you will also find here in the market a
lot of warmth, friendship and cooperation between the shop owners
(f). The designers from Tel- Aviv are not used to such things; there in
Tel Aviv the field of design is a real jungle. In Jerusalem, on the other
hand, the relations between designers are really unusual.
