“Mashke Harambam” (the Rambam (Maimonides) drink) – made
of almonds and dates, strengthens and builds the body and also
improves the memory.
“Sam Kesem Hamizrach” (“the eastern magic drug”) – a sweet
and spicy ginger and apple drink which treats throat infection and is
good for the vocal cords. This is an excellent drink for singers and
cantors.
“Beit Ha’mirkachat Shel Ha’teva” (Nature’s pharmacy) - a drink
from green plants like fenugreek, olive, spinach and parsley. It is good
for the balance of blood pressure, people with diabetes (sick with) and
disease prevention.
Uzi-Eli says: “I myself drink every morning a small glass of organic
Wheat Germ juice. It has a lot of vitamins and is invigorating. During
the day I drink another drink depending on what is needed and what I
want. Sometimes I will drink the “pomegranate and apple drink” –
lowers cholesterol (levels), helps blood pressure and is against
heartburn. Sometimes I will choose “shikuy perot ya’ar” (“Berry
Potion”) – a drink made from berries that gives a lot of energy.”
The visit to (in) Uzi Eli’s shop is an experience. Uzi will hold your
hand and will immediately know which is the right drink for you. He
sees tension, tiredness and other problems and recommends one of the
products he sells and also explains why you should drink that drink.”
If he has time, he will ask you to draw him a picture and then he will
give advice on how to live and what to do.”
Uzi-Eli is a sort of one-man health establishment. He has a health
segment on the radio and in the newspapers. When he has time he
stands at his stand and simply enjoys talking to people. Uzi’s greatest
tip is: “Love yourself, listen to your body and take care of it. Live out
of joy and happiness.”
