Shlomo Yidov

Shlomo Yidov (born January 19th 1951) is an Israeli composer, guitar player,
singer and adapter. Yidov was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He studied
music since the age of 8, immigrated to Israel at 13 and already then wrote
his first song - "Como La Luna".
Shlomo Yidov is a success story of the aliyah. He lives and writes in Hebrew,
and also sings about the language difficulties, like in the song "Dreaming in
Spanish". Yidov is one of the most prominent and quality writers of Israeli
singing. Yidov participated in the musical ensembles "Ktzat a'kheret" and
"Tzlil Mekhuvan". The band "Tzlil Mekhuvan" operated mostly during the
year 1979, but the members of the band reunited in 2002 and they perform all
around the country still today.
