Binyan Hif'eel - Past Tense

‫ְל‬In Binyan Hif’eel we omit the infinitive form prefix , while

maintaining the sound pattern of the infinitive form:

‫ ַה ְר ִגיׁש‬‫ְל ַה ְר ִגיׁש‬

We then change the sound pattern to match the name of the Binyan –
Hif'eel:

…A...EE...  …EE…EE

To this basic "kernel" we add the corresponding suffixes, according to
the pronoun. As an example, let’s use the verb:

to feel – ‫ְל ַה ְר ִגיׁש‬
‫ ִה ְר ִגיׁש‬ ‫ ַה ְר ִגיׁש‬ ‫ְל ַה ְר ִגיׁש‬

Pronoun  ‫ ּו‬ ‫ ה ֵהם‬ ‫ִהיא‬  ‫הּוא‬
Suffix
‫ּו‬+‫ה הרגיש‬+‫הרגיש‬ ‫הרגיש‬
Suffix  ‫ִה ְר ִגיׁש‬
‫ִה ְר ִגיׁ ָשה ִה ְר ִגיׁשּו‬

For the second chart, we use a slightly different “kernel”:
