Procedure:

            Teacher’s activity: Teacher asks students to think about some advances in technology over the last 30-
            50 years and answer her questions: Are there any things you take for granted that your parents (or

            grandparents) would have been unfamiliar with when they were the same age? The teacher writes their

            suggestions  on  the  blackboard.  And  then  she  asks  them  what,  in  their  opinion,  the  most  important
            object is. Why? Could you live without it? How would your life be different if this didn’t exist? Then the

            teacher asks students to work in groups and brainstorm as many words as they can related to phones,
            cameras, and computers.

            Students’  activity:      The  students  answer  the  teacher’s  questions  then  they  work  in  groups  and
            brainstorm words related to computer, cameras, and phones. The students who receive pens from the

            teacher come to the flipchart and write the examples their colleagues come up with.

            ACTIVITY 3:

            Aims:  - to allow students to practise vocabulary related to technology
            Procedure:

            Teacher’s activity: The teacher asks the students to open their notebooks, work in pairs and solve

            Exercise 1on page 68 in their textbooks putting the words in the correct category Computer, Camera,
            Telephone. Then they are asked to fill in the sentences in Exercise 2 with the correct word from the

            previous exercise.

            Students’ activity: Students work in pairs and solve the two exercises in their textbooks writing the
            answers in their notebooks.

            ACTIVITY 4: Debate

            Aims: - to allow students to develop their speaking skills

            Procedure:
            Teacher’s  activity:  The  teacher  asks  students  to  work  in  their  groups  and  find  arguments  for  and

            against the following topic: Mobile phones are teenagers’ best friends. The first two groups are asked
            to  find  arguments  for  and  the  last  three  groups  are  asked  to  find  arguments  against  the  topic.  The

            teacher shows the students a flipchart paper on which are drawn two balloons, one where the students
