ARTICULATION AGREEMENTS

The formalized process for Articulation Agreements begins with completion of the Certification of Curriculum Proposal
form and Articulation Agreement template and concludes once the agreement has been reviewed, finalized, and
approved by all parties and institutions. Articulation agreements include, but are not limited to, information on
admissions criteria, articulation of credits, catalog requirements, and benefits of the agreement. They do not always
        contain a course-to-course pathway.

        WHAT WE DO

The Credit Transfer Office assists the Articulation Agreement Supervisor by reviewing all the course-to-course
equivalencies that are included in any curriculum proposal. We ensure that transfer policies for Kent State, the Ohio
Department of Higher Education, and federal policies for transfer are being followed. Some equivalencies may already
be approved in our Transfer Credit Guide. To view the equivalencies already in our transfer articulation system, go to
www.kent.edu/transferguide. You will notice that agreement courses have an indicator of “RVWD” listed in the attribute
        column.

        WHERE TO FIND
Articulation Agreements, once approved, are posted on the Kent State University website for public viewing on the Kent
State website. They can be viewed according to institution or by program affiliation.

        WHERE TO START

For departments or institutions interested in initiating an articulation agreement, please email Ashley Maher
amaher5@kent.edu. Please reference “Articulation Agreement” in the subject line.
