OTC Treatment
1. Local Anesthetic (OTC)
Oracure® oral gel (lidocaine, cetylpyridinium)
2. Topical Analgesic (OTC)
Choline salicylate + cetalkonium chloride (Mundisal® gel)
3. Topical Analgesic/Anesthetic Combination (OTC)
Benzydamine HCl + Benzocaine 1.5% + Cetylpyridinium HCl (BBC® spray)
Warning: FDA recommends that parents and caregivers not use benzocaine
products for children younger than 2 years to decrease the risk of
methemoglobinemia/Asyphixia
