2- Cynarin
It is 1, 3-dicaffeoylquinic acid.
Source: Leaves of artichoke, Cynara scolymus, F.
Compositae.
Uses
Cynarin has liver protection and choleretic activity.
it increases secretion of bile and used in jaundice.
3-Gossypol:
It is a phenolic, dimeric sesquiterpene , found in cotton
plant, with greatest concentration in the seed .
Correlation exists between low fertility in males and use of
crude cotton seed oil for cooking,
