I-Sesquiterpene lactones
They are C15 lactone derivatives, derived from the
condensation of three isoprene units.
They can be classified according to their carbocyclic
skeletons into germaranolides, guaianolides,
eudesmanolides, xanthanolides and others.

Sources: It is obtained from the dried unexpanded flower
heads of Artemisia maritima L. (Compositae) and other
spices of Artemisia.
