Leguminoseae.
Constituents :
• Bio flavonoids e.g. astraisoflavone
• Saponins: astragalosides I, II, and IV,
• Sterols.
• Fatty acids.
• Polysaccharides: astraglan
Uses:
• Used in Chinese traditional medicine , as a general tonic and to strengthen
the immune system.
• Mainly used as immune stimulant and in some cardiovascular disorders.
