• Therefore, when the pesticides is unknown the
medicinal plant material should be tested for the
presence of :
• Organically – bound chlorine and phosphorus
• If the nature of the pesticide is unknown, it is necessary
to determine the contents of total
Organically – bound chlorine and phosphorus and to
base the calculation on the (MRL) maximum residual limits
of the most toxic chlorine and phosphorus containing
pesticide .
• (limits according to FAO / WHO)
