                         Sample Size

❑ Sample size is a crucial parameter during

   HPLC analysis.
❑ Overloading cause poor peak shapes; thus

sample size should be adjusted according to

   the column capacity.
❑ Typical values for total amounts of sample in a run are:
✓ Analytical column (25cm x 4.6mm) <100 µg.
✓ Semi-preparative column (25cm x 10mm)

   <100 mg.                                                 105
