What Must Not Be Injected into the Column??
❑ Substances that irreversibly adsorb to the packing material.
❑ For example, suppose that you have the following:
✓ Stationary phase: Silica gel-based packing material.
✓ Sample: Basic proteins or ions of transition metals such
as iron.
The sample will adsorb to the surface of the packing material,
forming oxides that remain on the surface.
How to solve this problem?!!
