• Define and list the advantages and disadvantages of using liquid dosage forms.
• Differentiate between different disperse systems
• Describe pharmaceutical solutions components, solvent, drug, excipients and the
role of each component.
What is Pharmaceutics?
It is the science concerned with the design and manufacture of dosage forms or medicines.
Converting a drug or an active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) into medicine (dosage form)
that can be delivered safely, effectively and conveniently to the patient.
What are Dosage forms?
The physical forms by which drugs are delivered to the patient in measurable or
prescribable amounts.
