3-The ABO blood groupis determinrd by examination of both the
corpuscles & the serum ,& the Rh group by an examination of
the corpuscles.
4- The blood should meet theBP requirement of sterility
testing.
5- The label should state :ABO,Rh group, volume of blood &
anticoagulant solution,date of collection,expiry date,storage
conditions.The content should not be used if there is any signs of
deterioration& number or code to be tracedto the original donor
Uses: Replace RBCs,cloting factors ,restore blood volume after
acute haemosshage.
2-Concentrated Human Red Blood Corpuscles BP
1- The quantity of fluid removed is not less than 40 % of the total
volune.
2- The blood used for the preparation should meet BP
requirements & not more than14 days old.
3- The heamoglobin conc.of the final preparation is not less than
15.5% w/v
4- Conc.RBCs collected in glass bottles should be used within 12
hr of preparation
5- Should be stored at4-6₀.
Uses in the treatment of anaemia.
