• The use of vapor pressure is important in the
operation of nasal inhalants for treating nasal
congestion:
– the quantity of drug required for effectiveness
and a reasonable estimate of time of usefulness
can be determined.
– Particle size affects vapor pressure; the smaller
the particle size, the greater the vapor pressure.
