Expelling force depends on the vapour pressure .of propellants
in pressurized aerosols.
So Propellant is responsible for developing the proper pressure
within the container and it expels the product.
The propellant is a liquefied gas that expands readily upon
release of pressure to provide the driving force for the delivery
of the contents.

The role of the propellant
It produce vapour pressure and thus
the medication is expelled when the
valve is opened.
It could be used as a solvent for the
drug and affect the characteristics
of the expelled product.
